Blind and Partially Sighted or LBS1

Salary: Per Teacher’s Salary Schedule

Qualifications: Sign language preferred.

Goals:     
   
1. To provide an individualized data based instructional program which allows each deaf-blind child optimal conditions for maximum growth and development of his intellectual, emotional, social/behavioral and physical abilities.

2. To provide opportunities for parent/guardian input and review of instructional programming to develop and/or strengthen students ties within home, school, and community environments.

3. To provide a range of integrated experiences to deaf-blind students in a community school setting.                 

The Philip Rock Center and School is a residential school serving children who have deaf/blindness as a primary disability.  We are located in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, which is a western suburb of Chicago.
